■ AL KARAMA DISTRICT:
Al Karama is a shopping district in the Bur Dubai area, known for independent fashion and accessory stores and for the traditional Karama Fish Market. Huge colorful murals by Malaysian artists decorate shopfronts on 18B Street, while the roads north of Kuwait Street are home to low-key South Asian restaurants. Expats play cricket and badminton in compact Karama Park. Dubai Marina is a district in Dubai, UAE. It is an artificial canal city, built along a 3km stretch of Persian Gulf shoreline. It is located on Interchange 5 between Jebel Ali Port and the area which hosts Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, and the American University in Dubai. ■ BUR DUBAI:
Bur Dubai is a historic district in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, located on the western side of the Dubai Creek. The name literally translates to Mainland Dubai, a reference to the traditional separation of the Bur Dubai area from Deira by the Dubai Creek.

The Ruler’s Court is located in the district adjacent to the Grand Mosque. The district is home to several mosques including the Grand Mosque with the city’s tallest minaret, and the blue tiled Iranian Mosque. The country’s only Hindu temple is situated between the Grand Mosque and the Creek. Most Indian Families live in Bur Dubai. It is home to several popular places for tourists including renovated historic buildings and museums. The district has many shopping streets and souqs (or souk), including the textile souq near the abra boat station, though most of the well-known souqs are located in Deira. Bur Dubai also has many shops and restaurants, small and large. Many cheap stores are also in Bur Dubai, like Day To Day. Bur Dubai also has many restaurants, and many Indian restaurants are in this district of Dubai, which it is well known for.
