Umm Suqeim Beach in Dubai is also known as Sunset Beach because from there you can enjoy the sunset with Burj Al Arab. Many people come to this beach to take pictures of the sunset with Burj Al Arab in the background. Umm Suqeim Beach is located directly at the well-known Jumeirah Beach Hotel, which includes the large Wild Wadi Waterpark. The beach is not very big, but very popular for the view and the turquoise water.
Facilities at Umm Suqeim Beach
At Umm Suqeim Beach there are some food stalls where you can buy ice cream and some food and drink. There are also a number of restaurants in the area. The beach offers free WiFi, lockers, showers and toilets, but you cannot rent beach chairs or umbrellas here. There is a playground for children and benches on the seafront where you can often meet joggers. One of the special features of Umm Suqeim Beach is that you are allowed to swim in the evening, which is not allowed on most beaches in the United Arab Emirates. There is a large light installation that illuminates the water when it gets dark and you can swim out to 30 metres. At midnight the lights are turned off and swimming is no longer allowed.
