Peaceful, natural, unspoilt and teeming with bird life, the tail-end of the Dubai Creek features the Ra’s al-Khor Wildlife Sanctuary. The six square kilometres of protected wetland is home to 266 species of fauna, 47 species of flora and an enormous population of flamingoes. The area is rich in biodiversity and is popular with residents and tourists alike.
