Burj Al Arab is the 7-star hotel in the world since 1999 when the Sheikh of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, commissioned it. The estimated cost of this charming hotel is about 1 billion dollars. Yeah, you heard it right; it’s that expensive and extravagant.
What’s your point on why Sheikh had spent such a tremendous amount on this hotel? It is because he wanted to make Dubai more than the oil-exporting country. His investment in it had diversified Dubai’s economy and made it one of the most attractive and generous tourist destinations for millionaires throughout the world.
The construction of this massive hotel began in 1994, and its name, Burj Al Arab, translates to the Arabian Tower. Well, it looks like one.
The towers of this hotel are 920 feet above the city, and to give visitors the view of the ship rising from the water, Sheikh invested in building the artificial island surrounding it.
It holds about 250 concrete columns below the hotel inside the water to keep it intact in its place. These towers are 148 feet under the sea, which means you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your stay.
There are two ways to reach for a luxurious vacation at this hotel or to access the island. First is you can take the Royce Rolls, the complimentary car available for you at the airport. Secondly, you can take your private helicopter on the hotel’s top floor for a more extravagant and exclusive entrance.
It hardly matters, as whatever way you will pick, you will be arriving in paradise. Oh my god! I can’t wait to describe the insight, as just telling it gives me a large feel.
The hotel’s lobby is quite a sight upon your entrance consisting of warm colours, patterns, and textures that enchants you.
You will discover a massive cascade fountain behind the reception desk that utilizes mist, water, and fibre-optic lungs to create water leap down show crossing the steps.
Gold columns, gold furniture, and gold features. Everywhere is golf, gold, and gold. One thing that will surprise you is the 20,000 square feet of gold leaf for the hotel’s decoration. After all, its to remind you that it’s a 7-star hotel.
Sheikh had invested in the world’s expensive marble, the Stat worio marble, to design the hotel’s lobby and other floors.
Your welcome is the greatest thing, as when you enter the hotel, you will be welcomed by the attendants carrying cold towels, rose water, coffee, and snacks that you can munch on. They will lead you to the escalator beside a massive aquarium, one of the three available in the hotel.
Walking ahead, you will see an atrium, the largest in the world, standing at 590 feet tall in this hotel. A fountain in the middle shoots water 130 feet in the air, which is almost the same height as the Bellagio fountain.
Now, how would you proceed to your room? Well, a gold elevator is available that ascend to your room. There are 202 rooms in the hotel, including the most primary rooms with an estimation of 2700 dollars per night.
What do you think does it worth it? Keep watching the video to know what made it that expensive.
Upon entering, the floors butler will help you settle in, and each of the floors consists of their butlers. Moreover, a 6 to 1 employee to guest ratio and the butlers are provided who can help you with anything you need.
The moment you step into the room, you will get fresh fruits served by a butler who then hangs your clothes, giving you the tour of the entire suite. As the hotel is so massive, the trek to the suite takes quite a long time. Even the basic suite is two-story, with its first floor comprising the dining arena, living arena, and an extensive minibar with all the drinks one desires. The dining table in the suite consists of fine chocolates that include some freshly made macaroons.
Everything in the suite is a remote control, including the blinds, the television compartment, the lights, and the temperature control system.
To get into the bedroom and the bathroom, you need to take a marble staircase flooded with fresh rose petals. The bedroom is exclusively massive, with a mattress worth 15000 dollars and the crafted pillows of eiderdown feathers hand-harvested by the female workers. The birds to whom these feathers belong are native to the subarctic, which means your blankets will give you warmth all night. Not only this, but the hotel also provides a pillow menu of about 17 pillows that you can choose the size, shape, and fitness.
Besides, there are plenty more things to do as there is a sitting room attached to the bedroom with great counties, and of course, a mirror just above it. The bathroom has four separate rain showers, a gold call of, and a jacuzzi bathtub.
We all love hotel shampoos and soaps, but Burj Al Arab has taken it to the next level by incorporating a Hermes Toiletry bag, including his/her perfumes in the bathroom.
