INCREDIBLE INDIAN FOOD in DUBAI, Tour of Bur Dubai | Pulao, Vada Pav, INDIAN STREET FOOD Updated for 2024

Updated: April 15, 2024

Dubai is having a reputation as a pricey destination but it’s also a amazing place to get cheap street food and traditional fare.
When it comes to where to eat in Dubai, Bur Dubai neighbourhood is one of my best choice. The area is home to some of Dubai’s cheapest eats specialising in Pakistani, Persian, Arabic a Nepalese, Chinese, and Indian regional cuisines
For those who don’t know, Bur Dubai is a historic district in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, located on the western side of the Dubai Creek. The name literally translates to Mainland Dubai, a reference to the traditional separation of the Bur Dubai area from Deira by the Dubai Creek.
Bur Dubai is known for having many shopping streets and souqs (or souk), including the textile souq near the abra boat station, gold souq, spice souq etc.
Bur dubai old souq in Dubai is probably the best bargain district in Dubai, it is an Arabic inspired market-theme and had wooden decorated entrance to the covered shopping area.
In this video, Myself, Ivan Cosmin and my wife, Nicolle (The Food Seekers) we are going for Indian food in Bur Dubai, trying some amazing Indian food.
We cross the Creek via Abra and we reached the spice market.
We were eager to try a refreshing sugarcane juice so we went to the sugarcane juice guy and watch him operate an juice machine that takes in one sugarcane at a time and pushes out beautiful green coloured cane juice that isn’t just sweet and delicious, but also extremely nourishing and considered to be a real goldmine of health according to doctors and nutritionists.
On our way through Old Souq, we have our first Indian street snack. Nothing is labelled and there aren’t any prices, but tell them what you want and they’ll cheerfully make you a grab bag of treats to eat on the run. We paid for a small bag 10 AED, and it was enought for two.
We went to the dining room to taste also a tea, called “Chai Karak”originated in India, which it means “strong tea.” It is a very popular milk tea in, United Arab Emirates, Iran, and many other Arabic Gulf areas.

Here are the addresses for the food locations we tried in Dubai:
1) Indian Snacks – Old Souq, Bur Dubai
2) Vada Pav – Vaibhav Vegetarian Restaurant, Fahidi Street Bur Dubai
