A hot air balloon ride over the Dubai desert was such a magical experience. Our adventure started out by driving about an hour into the Dubai desert. The location of our ride took place over the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve. Once we arrived, it was still dark and the crew were busy setting up each balloon. It was interesting to watch the process and see the hot air balloons inflate. The hot air balloon ride was incredibly peaceful. We could see sand dunes and an amazing sun rising in the distance. Once the sun was up, the dunes began to change colors. After about 45 minutes, it was time for the landing. The landing was quite an experience! The basket tipped over and we landed with one side of the basket on the ground. Luckily we were prepared with seat belts. After the balloon ride, we took vintage Land Rovers to an authentic Bedouin camp. At the camp we had a gourmet breakfast waiting for us. In addition to the food, we also got to learn about falcons and take a camel ride around the camp. Our hot air balloon ride adventure was fantastic!
