HATTA Dubai Tour || United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪 Updated for 2024

Updated: April 6, 2024

Hatta (Arabic: حتا) is an inland exclave of the emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.[1] Formerly an Omani territory, its ownership was transferred to Dubai in or around 1850.

Hatta is an exclave of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, high in the Hajar Mountains. The restored, centuries-old Hatta Heritage Village features a defensive tower, stone houses with palm-frond roofs, and falaj, the traditional water system. Other exhibits include traditional weapons, furniture and crockery. At the nearby Hatta Dam, the Hatta Reservoir Visitor Point overlooks the pools of striking green water.

In November 8, 2016, Mohammed Bin Rashid announced a 1.3AED billion plan to turn the mountain city of Hatta into a world-class tourist destination, with over 40 projects in economic, social and cultural sectors. The plan included 400 homes for Emiratis in Hatta, green areas for winter sports and a mountain track circuit. The plan aims to encourage the youth to start their own business businesses under the supervision of the Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation.

HATTA Heritage Village:
Hatta Heritage Village is one of the most popular and unique landmarks near Dubai, especially for those who want to get to know the Arab culture and see some of the last remaining symbols of its erstwhile splendour. This mountain village, presumed to be over 3000 years old, has been preserved and restored to its original glory to give tourists a glimpse of how the Emiratis lived centuries ago. The village showcases all the aspects of life in the days of the yore- households, defence, economic, and agricultural subsistence.

Backdropped by the majestic Hajar Mountain range, date trees, and vast expanses of barren land, visiting this place is like stepping back in time. There are over 30 small and large structures in this complex that have been brought back to their original appearance.
