Hatta is an old village in the hills of the Hajjar mountains close to the Omani border. It is one hour drive from Dubai (110 km) . Hatta dam was built in 1997 – 1998 to collect and control the water from the surrounding mountains when it rains.
The Swan Lake in Hatta is part of the greater Buhayrat Albiti Hatta. The lake is also close to the Hatta Heritage village.
