Covering almost two million square kilometres, the Arabian Desert is vast, but also full of history, culture and wildlife. Here’s how we encountered all of these things in a Platinum Heritage Safari in Dubai.

This safari takes most of the day and consists of:
– pick-up from hotel in Dubai in top-of-the-line Range Rover
– muster at Platinum Heritage HQ on the edge of the desert where you’re given your traditional headscarf
– drive through the desert’s ‘Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve’ protected zone spotting wildlife in top-of-the-line Range Rover
– canapes in the desert and a live falconry display
– camel ride through the desert to a royal oasis
– six-course dinner in the oasis in your private cabana
– dance and acrobatics display and fire-stunts
– Chauffeur drive back to hotel in top-of-the-line Range Rover
– gift pack of saffron, oud, chocolates and honey
