Evening stroll on Dubai Marina Walk | Pedestrian Walkway in Dubai Marina Canal | Trip to Dubai 2021 Updated for 2024

Updated: March 10, 2024

The Dubai Marina Walk is an 8 km long landscaped pedestrian walkway running parallel to the water in Dubai Marina. The best way to see Dubai Marina is by literally walking the Walk. Dubai Marina Walk is the destination for people from all walks of life and offers a variety of shopping, dining and leisure choices. You can spend your day shopping in the Dubai Marina Mall and taking coffee or lunch breaks in one of the hundreds of restaurants and cafes that line the cobblestoned Walk or relax in one of the fine spa/wellness establishments in the area. You can also watch various artistic performances, participate in events held by the Dubai Marina community or shop at the Marina Market. Dubai Marina Walk hosts the imposing Dubai Marina Yacht Club building. The Yacht Club administers the four marinas located at different points along the canal. At dusk Dubai Marina Walk comes alive with lights and a bustling night life. Dhow boats and luxurious yachts ferry people up and down the canal on dinner cruises, patrons of the numerous restaurants and cafes dine and smoke their shishas under the stars and pedestrians watch the reflections of the neighbouring skyscrapers and the illuminated palm trees on the dark waters of the canal. Striking sights by day, extraordinary views by night, the Dubai Marina Walk is the place to be.

Dubai Marina is a district in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, about 25 kilometres southwest of the city centre. The district is expected to house between 75,000 and 150,000 people when completed and will include about 200 skyscrapers and high-rises. The complex, which covers around 4 square kilometers – including the water areas – has been connected to the Dubai Metro with two stations since spring 2010.

Dubai Marina is located at Interchange 5. The district includes the Jumeirah Beach Residence, one of the largest flat and holiday resorts in the world with almost 40 high-rise buildings.

Dubai Marina takes its name from a nearly four-kilometers-long man-made canal, whose curved waterfront promenades are home to a large marina and several smaller boat mooring facilities, as well as numerous restaurants, cafés and shops, and a shopping centre with around 120,000 square meters of retail space.
