Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary is a wetland reserve in Dubai, UAE, renowned for attracting migratory birds in large numbers.
Ras Al Khor in Arabic suggests - Cape of the Creek. The wetland reserve also serves as a breeding ground and home for crustaceans, mammals and fish, but it is the flamingos that steal the show in winter.
Presently there are three birding hides located on the perimeter of the sanctuary open to the public which are free to access during set daylight hours.
