The Dubai Souks – Traditional Arabian Markets of Deira. If you’re looking for a taste of old Dubai, it is best to visit the souks, which have been around for many years. When visiting Dubai Old Souk Area you can take a boat ride (Abra) across the river which costs 1 dirham or take the Metro Green Line and get off to Al Ras Metro Station. On the main site are the Gold & Spice souks which are a must-visit place. On the other side are restaurants where you can try the UAE’s local dishes. You will also find the Dubai Museum and other historical points where you can learn more about the UAE Culture and Traditions.
