Hatta Hill Park is a good hour-and-a-half drive away from the hussle and bussle of Dubai, so do look out for the red sand dunes, the mountains and the odd passing camel on the way.
What’s there: barbeque areas, an old watchtower with Hatta Fort and the Heritage Village close by where you can munch on some fresh dates whilst soaking up a slice of history. Pack the picnic and plenty to drink in a cool box and enjoy some get away time out of the city. You can always stop off at the chilly Hatta rock pools to cool off before you head back.
Take the E44 towards Hatta, follow signs to Hatta Hill Park from Hatta roundabout.
