Dizyngoff is a restaurant that was a true discovery for me. I came to Odessa for just a few days, and I carefully planned every breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I wanted delicious food, pleasant conversation, sunny weather, and all this in one of the most beautiful cities in my country. This restaurant is located in the center; it’s not large; in fact, I’d even say it’s small. Inside, there’s a bar, a simple interior, and just a few tables. In the summer, there’s a terrace. My friend and I came for breakfast; I ordered a piece of toast with sprat, and she ordered a eggs with vegatables and meat. Just imagine, cutting a piece of toast with salted fish, spreading it with a yogurt sauce that balanced the saltiness of the fish, and putting it all in your mouth. It was gastronomic ecstasy. This toast is one of the most popular dishes at this restaurant, and, frankly, after trying it, I wasn’t surprised. What makes this restaurant special is that they use local ingredients. I’m sure you’ll be amazed when you open the menu, seeing dishes from Ukrainian, French, Thai, and Israeli cuisine. But don’t think there’s anything wrong with this restaurant; you just have to trust them and try the food; I’m sure it will exceed your expectations. Our breakfast cost 760 hryvnias ($18). The service here is excellent. The waiter will help you choose a meal, the bartender will help you choose a drink, and all you have to do is enjoy life. If you’re ever in town, I highly recommend this restaurant.
