Bratislavský Meštiansky Pivovar is a city brewery and restaurant chain in Bratislava that continues the brewing tradition. The name recalls that the right to brew beer once belonged to the city’s residents. I came here with a friend who has lived in the city for several years, and she said it was one of the best restaurants where I could try Slovak cuisine. The restaurant is very large, with several rooms, paintings on the walls that tell the history of the place, barrels where the beer is stored, and a bar in the middle where they pour fresh beer. In the summer, you can sit outside and enjoy the fresh air, birdsong, and the beauty of nature. And if you’re here with children, there’s a playground. The atmosphere is bustling; it’s more suitable for groups and friendly get-togethers than for a quiet, romantic evening. If you’re planning to visit in the evening, I recommend booking a table in advance. My friend comes here often with colleagues, so she tried many dishes and chose what she considered the best for us. She ordered pork ribs and a traditional Slovak dish. We chose non-alcoholic beer for drinks. The food was delicious, but I especially liked the ribs; they were delicious and flavorful, a true gastronomic delight. It’s important to note that the portions are very large, so some dishes are best shared. Our lunch cost €43.50. The service is excellent, and the staff understands that there are a lot of tourists here, so they will help you choose the dish you’ll enjoy. If you’re in this beautiful city, I recommend visiting this place.
