What an impressive building the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is. Built in the mid 1990s it really is a place to visit if you're travelling to Abu Dhabi.

It is very easy to find, has plenty of car parking & taxis, plus inside there are rest rooms and a small yet modern shopping mall with cafes and coffee shops & a few boutique style shops.

But the Mosque itself is undoubtedly the main attraction, it's size, the architecture, the quality of workmanship & its' sheer presence make it a must to visit, not even the photos do it justice.

It's best to book in advance, which is easy to do online. Once you're there it's well organized & everything is well signposted. There are several shops where you can buy items that you may need to cover up, and they're not particularly expensive.
