A Hidden Vintage Car Museum in Dubai?

A short journey through Dubai brought us to an unexpected treasure; the Alserkal Private Car Collection. Nestled in a building that sharply contrasts with the city’s futuristic skyline, its architecture echoes late 19th to early 20th-century French Renaissance design, complete with an irregular quadrangle shape. It feels like stepping into another era — and that’s before you even see the cars.

The building itself also houses the headquarters of the Alserkal Group, a multidisciplinary Emirati company. But the real magic begins in the grand hall where the cars are displayed: a space crowned with a transparent roof and adorned with stained-glass windows in traditional Arab style. Sunlight filters through in colorful shards, casting an almost sacred glow on the polished curves of classic machines, giving the space the ambience of a car-lover’s Sim Sim (Ali Baba) treasure trove.

As for the collection, it’s exactly what you’d expect from an Arab sheikh’s garage: a mix of oldtimers, exclusive luxury cars, and rugged 4x4s.

Interestingly, nearly 70% of the vehicles are American, a clear testament to the enduring love Arab collectors have for powerful American pickups and muscle cars.
