The main attraction is the Lost Chambers Aquarium.

Of course, if you want opulence, next door is Atlantis The Royal — one of Dubai’s most talked about super-luxury hotels.

From its art inspired lobby….. to its fountain, idyllic pools, luxury stores and huge suites……this is a place to indulge.

But now was time for some action. You’ll find plenty of that right between the Atlantis Palm and the Royal at the Aquaventure Waterpark.

This is the world’s largest waterpark, with over 105 record-breaking slides, attractions and experiences that span more than 22 hectares of fun.

I opted for the more sedate lazy river experience…..

At least I thought it was chilled until we hit the rapids.

By now it was time for something more mellow.

The beautiful Souk Madinat Jumeirah is a tranqil and charming mix of traditional Arabian markets, winding waterways, and stylish cafés—great for relaxing and browsing. Take a traditional boat ride, or grab some dates, spices or traditional perfumes.

Then it was back to the Palm Jumeirah where getting around is a breeze with the Dubai Monorail, offering stunning views and connecting you to key attractions and malls on the island itself.

Of course a lot more awaits beyond the Palm Jumeirah. That’s all part of the adventure, when you visit Dubai.
