We had a beautiful overnight camping stay in a military vehicle with Sand Sherpa @sand_sherpa in dubai. We arrived and drove into the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve.

The camp was beautiful with a bunch of military vehicles surrounding a campsite, a large fire pit and a long table.

We started snacking some home made snacks, opened a few bottles of wine and enjoyed the sunset. We then went on a scorpion hunt, spotted 2 scorpions in the wild. Absolutely phenomenal experience, and the kids loved it!

This was followed by a desert bbq with chicken and beef burgers, steak, grilled chicken, lamb chops and fresh pizzas! We then sat by the bonfire which the team lit up for us back on the campsite, and brought in the new years over more grilled corn, more lamb chops and some leftover pizza we took from the kitchens…

We woke up at 8.30, had a quick dry breakfast at the outdoor kitchens, and had to leave the camp by 9.45am latest.

This was the only sad part as the packing and rushing was a bit annoying – a kind of a hard wake up after a magical night.

PS we missed the early morning hawk walk as we brought in the new years and stayed up till the wee hours!

We would be back, for sure, without a seconds hesitation!
