A Desert Safari is the most common touristic and even non touristic activity in Dubai and infact the UAE more broadly.

The desert safari consists of 3 main components.

1. Dune Bashing

This is arguably the most important and also most definitive aspect of the desert safari experience. Dune bashing is driving through the desert on 4x4s in a rather unique and specific way. The terrain is very uneven and rather difficult to navigate and driving through it is very difficult thus the ‘bashing’, since it isn’t exactly a smooth drive.

This is a very exhilarating experience that will definitely get the adrenaline pumping.

2. Desert Stop

After about 30 minutes of ‘dune bashing’, a photo stop is customary.

A desert stop is the opposite of the dune bashing component and its a very tranquil experience which allows you to experience the eternal and tranquil nature of the desert.

The desert has a different ‘feel’ than any other type of terrain and because of its emptiness it affects the perception of time.

3. Desert Camp

The final point of the Desert Safari Tour is arriving at a rather large ‘camp’, which is built around a stage. There are low seated tables and cushions. At the camp there are a couple of key activities:
